Religious Mediation, After Madoff

I wasn’t able to get anyone to talk on the record about the issue of Religious Mediation in light of the Madoff scandal, but clearly the same rules about doing due diligence on the attorneys you hire apply even, or maybe especially, when you are looking for someone who is a spiritual comrade and not just a legal advisor.

We want to trust, and we want that emotional connection, but you still need that objective analysis as to whether or not this is the best legal representation for you, even with all the warmth and confidence you feel in a given lawyer personally. That is what this consulting service is all about: providing you an objective basis for an otherwise emotional decision where you might not want to look under every rock.

Of course Madoff was not an attorney but the issues of trust are the same, and so too can be the consequences. I look forward to helping all of you work with people who not only claim to share your values, but finding those with a track record that shows they actually do.
