It’s pretty simple. I help people – individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies – find good lawyers to represent them.
Finding a Lawyer
Of course, finding a lawyer is easy. Attorneys advertise on television, in the phone book, and on the web. You may already know a lawyer; perhaps the one that helped you set up your business; that got your uncle out of jail or handled your sister’s divorce. And all three of these lawyers may be very good at what they do, but that does not mean they are right for your current legal situation. The law, just like everything else in this world, is a highly technical field with lots of specialization. So, while finding a lawyer is easy, finding the right attorney for you is not.
Lawyer Credibility and Expertise
I help people find the right lawyers with the right skills and the right expertise for their specific legal needs. That way you don’t rely on word of mouth or attorney marketing to make a decision. And while it only takes a few seconds to pull up a name on Google or the Yellow Pages, you probably don’t have the time or expertise to find out
- if what a lawyer is saying about himself there is actually true,
-
what his or her track record in similar cases is, or
his or her present capacity (staff, management tools, and other resources) to competently handle your legal issues at this critical moment.
Lawyers Need Help, Too
Even organizations with their own regular attorney sometimes need to bring in legal specialists. I can work with counsel and/or leadership to find the right solution. The Fortune 500 and insurance companies have been doing this as a matter of routine for decades. Sadly, more and more regular people are finding that they need someone to help them avoid bad lawyers, too. That’s why I’m here.
Unbiased, Objective, Independent
I do not provide legal advice or services myself. Rather, drawing on my 20 plus years of experience in the legal profession, and my subsequent work in marketing with a major legal publisher, I am familiar with law firms across the country, and have the tools to research, evaluate, and identify suitable law firms for the matter at hand, assist in retainer negotiations, help set a budget to control costs, and monitor the retainer agreement for compliance. But the final decision as to which law firm to work with is always yours. I accept no payments or advertising of any kind from any law firm. My loyalties and duties are solely with and for you.
